The Cambia Zip Neck is ideal for women doing a wide range of outdoor activities, especially high energy activities or in warmer conditions.

When active outdoors, you need to manage your sweat to stay dry and comfortable, even when you stop moving. In hot conditions or working hard, you need maximum cooling; in cooler conditions you need less. Sun protection is beneficial too. Parameta T+ fabric provides UV protection (SPF 25+ equivalent) and wicks moisture laterally to reduce pooling and enhance evaporation and cooling when needed. The fabric also moves moisture from one face to the other, which, when directed away from your body, offers greater insulation.

This Cambia Zip Neck is designed to offer reversibility, with a zipped neck and long sleeves.

It is a rapid-drying, directional, reversible fabric that spreads moisture laterally to speed up evaporation of perspiration. Because the two faces of the fabric behave differently, by reversing a Parameta T+ shirt you can make it cooler or warmer.

When working hard in warmer conditions, the smooth water-attracting face of the fabric is worn next to your skin, holding water close to your skin to evaporate and cool you. For cooler conditions, the textured, more open face is worn next to your skin, directing water away so you feel dry, but still evaporating excess water effectively.

The Cambia uses reversible Parameta T+ fabric so you can choose the level of cooling to suit your activities and the conditions. Worn with the smooth fabric face against your skin, moisture is held close to your skin and spread laterally for fast evaporation and cooling. Worn with the honeycomb textured face inwards, it directs moisture away from you, maintaining an insulating dry ‘gap’.

The zip neck allows quick venting to the skin for instant cooling, while the long sleeves can provide cover or be easily pushed up for cooling.

How will your Páramo^® baselayer outperform other wicking baselayers?

Most other technical baselayers only move moisture laterally across the fabric, and don’t move it from one fabric face to the other. Therefore they are not reversible, and only offer one level of cooling. Furthermore, when worn under a waterproof garment where condensation is a possibility, they won’t push moisture away from your body and as a result you’ll feel colder and less comfortable.

In what kind of weather conditions can I use my Cambia Zip Neck?

Because the Parameta T+ fabric is reversible and offers two levels of cooling, it can be worn in a wide range of conditions.

For high energy activities, it may be sufficient all year round, combined with a windproof or waterproof when necessary, with the fabric face of the Zip Neck chosen to deliver greater or lesser cooling.

For less active pursuits, in colder conditions, Parameta G Grid baselayers will provide more insulation.

Which garments should I use with my Parameta^® T+ baselayer to get optimum performance?

The Parameta T+ fabric makes it ideal for use underneath garments made from Nikwax Windproof or Analogy Waterproof fabrics.

When used with a Nikwax Windproof, its rapid wicking and minimum insulation makes it a great combination for warmer months, or high exertion activity such as running or cycling. This will offer enough rain resistance for light showers.

When used with an Analogy Waterproof and worn with the open face next to your skin, Parameta T+ fabric pushes moisture away from your body, complementing the action of Nikwax Analogy Waterproof garments. In combination, these will give outstanding waterproofing, directionality and, ultimately, comfort in wet conditions.
