The Enduro Windproof Jacket is for people who enjoy mountain activities – climbing, alpinism, mountaineering - across the seasons.

On the mountain in summer, you need something breathable to protect from wind and light showers, without overheating.

In other seasons or at high altitudes, you need more rain resistance and insulation, normally requiring the purchase of an additional winter jacket.

This Enduro Windproof Jacket provides wind and water resistant protection with excellent ventilation for the warmer months. Combined with the Enduro Fleece, it creates a waterproof system for colder, wetter conditions.

With a design that complements the Enduro Fleece, the Enduro Jacket offers versatile protection from wind and rain, excellent ventilation options and mountain-friendly features

  • Optimum cooling when working hard from upper sleeve and torso vents, carefully positioned for ease of use.
  • Designed for mountain use with helmet-friendly hood, harness compatible pocketing and great articulation.
  • Specifically designed to be compatible with the Enduro Fleece. Together these garments create an adaptable Waterproof mountain system.

Nikwax® Duology Windproof cuts windchill and protects your insulation but still provides excellent moisture vapour transfer

Nikwax Windproof FabricNikwax Duology Windproof uses a closely woven microfibre fabric that cuts windchill and protects your insulation whilst providing excellent moisture vapour transfer. A Nikwax PFC-free durable water repellent treatment deflects the rain.

Worn in combination with one of our Duology fleeces it traps still air in the fleece fibres to provide varying levels of insulation and waterproof protection depending on the weather conditions and activity.

Choose a Enduro Windproof for its outstanding adaptability …

The Enduro uses highly breathable Nikwax windproof fabric for protection from gale force winds, showers and squalls. Furthermore, the combination with the Enduro Fleece allows you to adapt to the widest possible range of conditions and activities in the mountains. So expect versatile year round protection with excellent temperature control and practical provision for mountain activities.

How will my Páramo Windproof outperform other windproofs?

Your Páramo windproof offers more versatility. Firstly because it is water-repellent and has a fully adjustable hood, it provides a good level of protection when worn as an outer layer, while offering exceptional breathability. Secondly, because in the worst conditions it can be worn over a Páramo Fleece to provide a higher level of weather protection. Therefore, it can adapt easily to a very wide range of conditions.

Páramo windproofs are extremely tough and durable, so suitable to be used in many different environments without damage.

  1. Combines with Enduro Fleece to form a waterproof mountain system.
  2. Effectively positioned upper sleeve and torso vents allow flexible temperature control and access to handwarming pockets in the fleece when worn over.
  3. Fully adjustable hood with wired peak fits over a helmet and allows an excellent field of vision via 3-way adjustment with concealed adjusters.
  4. Secure storage from two chest pockets - one map-sized, ideal for mountain essentials, the other designed for fast access to GPS/compass. Ski pass pocket on upper arm.
  5. Ergonomically designed, athletic fit with articulated shoulders and sleeves for maximum freedom of movement.
  6. Scooped tail with hem adjustment provides a close fit for good weather protection.
  7. Wide cuffs with easily adjusted bite-tabs allow sleeves to be pushed or rolled up for cooling.
  8. Light but robust zips throughout feature zip pulls useable with gloved hands.

What users say...

"The Cairngorms - what gear to wear and what to bring? On lower ground it wasn't too windy, so decided to wear my Páramo Enduro Windproof Jacket and Enduro Tour Trousers. These pieces of kit had been tried and tested in Norway when I was I climbing and when I traversed the Cuillin Ridge so there was no hesitation in wearing them. For additional layers and options, in my rucksack I carried my Enduro Jacket and the faithful Torres Alturo Jacket because it's quick and easy to put over the top layers to keep you extra warm."

“An incredible quality jacket, used for about a month in the Snowdonia National Park in some pretty harsh conditions ranging from below 0°c 50mph winds to sleet, snow, rain - and a little bit of sun. The jacket coped really well requiring me to only wear a baselayer and a tech T-shirt while the hood maintained peripheral vision even without a helmet. The jacket felt light and comfortable throughout the day. The Velcro on the wrist cuffs do feel a little low quality but work really well so maybe I'm used to the strong Velcro of other brands.”

Matt Reynolds

“I already own a Velez Smock, which I love, however I needed something a bit lighter. Decided to try the Enduro Windproof and so far I have found this to be an excellent jacket. On a recent walk with very cold wind it did a great job and when I was in a sheltered spot and became too warm the venting worked great. This is a very versatile item”

Steve B

“To sum up: It’s an awesome jacket! I think the Enduro is great value when you factor in durability and its range of uses, especially when teamed up with the Enduro fleece. It’s really tough and great to wear running, walking, climbing or in the pub afterwards. It’s very well featured and about as ethical as you can currently buy.”

TGO magazine Spring 2016 recommends award“Suitable for winter conditions, it kept out strong winds and snow in the Cairngorms. While I tested it as a standalone jacket, it can be worn with the Enduro Fleece to give a waterproof combination. On its own it’s windproof, breathable and showerproof. The design is excellent. The sleeves are articulated and don’t ride up when you stretch. For year-round hillwalking and winter backpacking it’s excellent.”
4 stars out of 5.

“Ethiopia is a country of extremes, perfect for the Ethiopia Rocks 2014 team to test Enduro and Ventura fleeces and windproofs, with hot weather, cool evenings, shady crags and rain showers. The midday sun was too hot to climb in, but a thin fleece or windproof was necessary most mornings, evenings and on shady crags, so the Enduro and Ventura layers ensured we didn’t get chilly, but didn’t overheat either, and rain showers made us glad for our windproofs!”

Which garments should I use with my Duology Windproof for optimum performance?

We recommend combining our Windproof garments with the relevant Duology Fleece for varying levels of insulation and waterproofing depending on the weather conditions and activity. The fleeces come in two weights to suit different requirements. Click here for more information.

A Grid baselayer worn underneath a windproof is an excellent combination in warmer conditions when less insulation is required.

In extremely cold conditions our Torres overlayers are designed to be worn on top of your windproof.
