OVERVIEW

COMBINATION OFFER

SAVE £15 when you purchase a Bentu Windproof with a Bentu Fleece or Bentu Plus Fleece.

Use code: MENSBENTUCOMBO at the checkout.

The Bentu Fleece is for outdoor people who need flexible protection in changeable conditions.

A breathable, light and packable fleece that provides insulation and protects you from wind and showers is essential. In deteriorating conditions, combine with a Bentu Windproof for additional protection. In extremely cold and/or prolonged wet weather, we recommend a Bentu Plus Fleece as a more suitable alternative.

Worn over a baselayer, the fleece is comfortable in warmer weather, or combine it with a Duology Windproof for waterproof protection and maximum adaptability. It can also be worn as a midlayer under a Nikwax Analogy® waterproof jacket for extra insulation.

The Bentu Fleece offers easy movement, has generous pocketing, and a design that combines with the Bentu Windproof.

  • Excellent articulation and stretch fabric ensure full freedom of movement.
  • Safe, secure storage from one easy access chest pocket and one internal drop pocket, both large enough to hold an Ordnance Survey map.
  • Two zipped handwarming pockets provide additional storage.

Nikwax Duology Fleece is lightweight, highly wind resistant and has a durable water repellent finish suitable for use in light showers, protecting against mist and drizzle.

Nikwax Duology Plus Fleece is a thick pile, directional fleece offering superior insulation and high levels of water repellency. It actively pushes liquid water outwards, keeping you dry even in poor weather conditions.

Duology Fleece
A Duology windproof cuts windchill, deflects rain and traps still air in the fibres of Duology fleeces to provide varying levels of insulation and waterproofing depending on the weather conditions and activity. The fleeces come in two weights to suit different requirements.

  1. Combines with a Bentu Windproof for maximum adaptability.
  2. One easy access chest pocket and one internal drop pocket for safe, secure storage, both large enough to hold an Ordnance Survey map.
  3. Two zipped handwarming pockets provide additional storage.
  4. Full length, two-way YKK front zip for easy ventilation, with chin guard.
  5. Semi-elasticated cuffs push up easily for additional cooling.
  6. Curved back hem provides lower back protection.
  7. Excellent articulation and light stretch ensures full freedom of movement.

Choose a Bentu Fleece for maximum adaptability:

The thin pile fleece is highly wind resistant and can be worn alone in light showers. Combined with a Bentu Windproof, the system deflects rain and traps still air in the fleece fibres to provide additional insulation and waterproofing in moderate conditions.

If you are more likely to be out in extreme cold and/or persistent wet weather, we recommend using the Bentu Plus Fleece and Windproof combination for greater protection.

How will my Páramo Duology Fleece outperform other mid-layers?

Many other mid-layers are designed simply to provide extra insulation when worn over a baselayer. Duology fleeces offer more versatility.

In what weather conditions can I use my Bentu Duology Fleece?

Used alone, the thin pile Bentu Fleece provides protection against wind and showers in moderate weather. It can also be used as a midlayer under a Nikwax Analogy waterproof jacket.

In deteriorating weather, combine with a Bentu Windproof for additional protection. In extremely cold and/or prolonged wet weather, we recommend a Bentu Plus Fleece as a more suitable alternative.

The Bentu Duology combination has been tested in the Leeds University Rain Room to resist at least four hours of heavy rain, which is approximately five times the intensity of normal heavy rain in the UK.

Which garments should I use with my Duology Fleece to get optimum performance?

We recommend combining our Fleece garments with the relevant Duology Windproof for varying levels of insulation and waterproofing depending on the weather conditions and activity. The fleeces come in two weights to suit different requirements. Click here for more information.

Any Páramo baselayer worn underneath a Duology fleece will enhance the performance of the combination, keeping you dry and comfortable when working hard.

In extremely cold conditions our Torres overlayers are designed to be worn on top of your outer garments.

How do I look after this Páramo® item?

Always wash this garment with Nikwax Tech Wash® to remove dirt and revive the water-repellency. If, even after washing, the garment outer absorbs water, it is time to reproof with Nikwax TX.Direct®. If you very heavily soil your garment, for example with tar or oil, you can have it dry cleaned. It will then need to be washed with Tech Wash and reproofed with TX.Direct.

Nikwax Tech Wash and TX.Direct are market leading products. They have been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof fabrics. Application in a washing machine is quick, easy, and ensures that the whole garment is thoroughly cleaned and waterproofed.

Nikwax Tech Wash is a highly effective cleaner. Additionally it will revitalise existing Durable Water Repellency (DWR) and revive breathability. It is the safe way to thoroughly clean your waterproof clothing and equipment.

Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-In has been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof garments; it leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres allowing moisture vapour to pass through, maintaining breathability.
