Running in the Lincolnshire Wolds

Hiya, I’m Steve. I work for a national homelessness charity supporting those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness and help them into secure and sustainable tenancies. I work across South Yorkshire but live in the Lincolnshire Wolds having moved down here from Scotland about 20 years ago now (as I write that I realise that soon I’ll have lived in England longer than I lived in Scotland!). I’m still a Scot though, right? Freckles, ginger beard…(Aye, I am).

Exploring far and wide – Our humble shores to the top of the World

I am 62, retired and have been active in the outdoors since my teens, particularly hillwalking, trekking, camping, cycling and running. Latterly, I have been running ultra-marathons and having fast packing and bike packing adventures. I’m not exactly sure when I first became aware of Páramo, although I had used the original Nikwax in the tins for my leather boots.

The Spine cometh again

Most people come out of Christmas into New Year with New Year Resolutions to lose weight and do more exercise. Most Spine racers have been piling on the pounds in preparation for yet another arduous journey from Edale to Kirk Yetholm with one thing on their mind; finishing! But before then, the months of training culminate in last minute kit conversations and food.

Páramo sponsors The Great Ambleside Dog Walk

Fell dog Max and his young sidekick Paddy have become Facebook and internet celebrities promoting the fantastic experience of walking in the Lake District.

The pair of springer spaniels will join The Great Ambleside Dog Walk, sponsored by Páramo, just one of the attractions of the town’s second Festival of the Fells, which takes place from Thursday September 21 – Sunday September 24.
