The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for an IT Support Technician to support our busy IT Infrastructure Team and to contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

To work on the IT Helpdesk providing 1st line support. Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing and solving both hardware and software faults. To be an expert user in all company systems providing training and maintaining user guides as necessary by:

  • providing 1st line support on both hardware and software to users across all sites and countries
  • assisting in the training of staff in the use of day to day systems
  • being responsible for creating and updating program instructions and user guides, making available as required
  • being in charge of the accurate logging of Helpdesk tickets and solutions worked upon
  • helping with web and spam filtering content management
  • running the IT/Finance related month end procedures.

The Person will be:

  • a problem solver with good prioritisation skills
  • proactive and driven
  • conscientious with good interpersonal skills
  • numerate with an eye for detail
  • educated to an A level/college standard with an IT qualification.

The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for a Garment Processing Technician to support our very busy Workshop Team and contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

Ensuring adequate stock levels are available for sales of processed products by ensuring all returned and imported garments are laundered and processed to the appropriate quality levels, highlighting any issues to the quality control department by:

  • being responsible for the laundering, proofing and processing of all imports, returned garments (including consumer repairs), recycled and seconds garments deemed suitable for sale
  • reviewing the manufacturing quality of all garments processed through the laundry
  • being responsible for the quality of laundry output, including proofing, accuracy of labelling and presentation of the packed product
  • being in charge of stock control of the laundry area and for the stock levels of processed garments and laundry consumables
  • ensuring that the working environment is kept clean and tidy and laundry equipment is properly maintained, liaising with service engineers as required.

The Person will be:

  • self-motivated with good time management skills
  • able to follow systems and procedures
  • methodical and have attention to detail
  • ideally educated to at least GCSE or higher vocational level.
