Join an ethical and award-winning outdoor clothing brand that is currently evolving into an employee owned company, as an Online Sales Coordinator (minimum 25 hours per week).

Páramo Directional Clothing designs and distributes durable garments for outdoor people, using unique and superior fabric systems to keep them comfortable in extreme environments. The products are indefinitely renewable using Nikwax® aftercare and their innovative design allows the garments to be recycled at the end of their useable lifetime.
We develop our products in-house, from the headquarters in Wadhurst, East Sussex, with the garments manufactured at The Miquelina Foundation in Bogotá, Colombia. This partnership started in 1992 and has assisted over 10,000 vulnerable women to find a better life, away from prostitution or exploitative situations. With Páramo’s support, the factory has carried the World Fair Trade label since 2017.

We have an ongoing dedication to minimising our impact on the environment and a devoted group of people to help develop the business. Páramo is currently undergoing the exciting process of transitioning to Employee Ownership, which will protect and build upon our purpose and values, whilst securing a bright future for all employee owners.

The Role

To drive sales through, and operate the processes of, the Páramo controlled online sales channels by providing assistance and advice to customers, ensuring seasonally appropriate stock availability and improving presentation and communication of Páramo garments by:

  • coordinating sales through third party e-commerce channels and overseeing all day to day functions
  • being responsible for the Web Sales phone line and emails, providing advice and assistance to queries or handing over to an appropriate team/individual where necessary
  • coordinating available stock for third party e-commerce channels ensuring that it is seasonal, available for sale and of expected quality
  • assisting in providing support to Páramo direct customers, including; processing EU, international and BFPO mail orders
  • overseeing and continually improving the online customer experience by optimising channel activities or proposing and developing projects
  • assisting the Páramo Workshop with the processing of third party e-commerce refunds/exchanges.

The Person will be:

  • knowledgeable of online sales environments
  • analytical, motivated and organised with a high level of computer literacy
  • a team player
  • experienced in using eBay as a seller (private or professional)
  • ideally educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent), in both Maths and English.
